Meet Alia Yaghi MD, our San Antonio OBGYN

Dr. Yaghi is a highly trained obstetrician and gynecologist who provides comprehensive women’s healthcare. She is dedicated to offering personalized and compassionate care to women at all stages of life, from adolescence through menopause and beyond.

Dr. Yaghi provides evidence-based and individualized care

For undergraduate training, Dr. Yaghi attended Stanford University, majoring in Human Biology with a concentration in Cross-Cultural Medicine. She then earned her medical degree from UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine, where she developed a passion for women’s health. She was recruited to stay at UT Health for her residency training, where she gained extensive experience in managing routine and complex cases. She was also recognized for her strong surgical skills, receiving the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons Outstanding Resident Award.

As a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Yaghi stays at the forefront of the latest advancements in the field. She is committed to providing evidence-based care and works closely with her patients to develop individualized treatment plans to meet their unique needs and preferences. She has diverse clinical interests, including prenatal care, menstrual disorders, fertility counseling, menopausal symptoms, as well as cancer screening and prevention. Dr. Yaghi also has a passion for gynecologic surgery, offering a wide range of services, including hysterectomy, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, ablation, and tubal ligation.

Dr. Yaghi is known for her warm and approachable manner, making her patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their care. She believes in empowering women with knowledge and involving them in every step of their healthcare decisions.

Outside of the office, Dr. Yaghi enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and hiking/biking.
